Loop Heat Pipe: Loop heat pipes offer effective long distance cooling solutions without being effected by gravity. Unlike traditional heat pipes, vapors and liquids are transported one way only, preventing backward heat leak from happening. Similar to traditional heat pipes, the heat source evaporates the liquid of the loop heat pipe near the heat source into vapor, and the vapor is carried via the pipe to where the cooling mechanism is located. When cooled, the vapor condenses into liquid and is carried on in the same direction to the area where the heat source evaporates the liquid again. The cycle goes on in a loop method.
